So honoured to be part of Hear Me Out Show at Contemporary Arts Precinct; a one night only charity show to help raise awareness and normalise the conversation about anxiety disorders for the Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria.
I am paired with an anonymous testimonial “Butterflies – if butterflies could be threatening and scary “ and to respond positively as a form of support and solidarity.
Nobody is immune to anxiety. It is a natural response and it is often invisible or overlooked. Anxiety may give someone butterflies in the pit of the stomach. What to do when you have butterflies? Observe them. Study them. And once you understand them, you can then decide what you want to do with them. Do you let them lay eggs on your favourite plant? Do you get rid of them? Do you tell your friends about it and see what would they do?
